MET Launches US Mentorship Program
MET Community is taking its next step with its first U.S. project this summer. MET will launch the U.S. pilot of its mentorship program for women entrepreneurs in the greater Washington, D.C., area. “I’m excited about the incredible potential that MET mentoring has to foster growth in the lives of women entrepreneurs throughout the region and, eventually, across the U.S.,” said Jean Schindler, Director of MET Community U.S.
Since its founding in 1998 in Spain, MET Community has expanded around the world. Its work has positively affected thousands of women entrepreneurs through customized trainings, professional mentoring, and “METworking,” the organization’s community-building initiative. MET is able to foster collaboration between the public, private and non-profit sectors to create joint initiatives that empower women and encourage social good.
“We empower and support innovative women entrepreneurs who have growth potential,” said MET Community founder and CEO Yanire Braña. “These entrepreneurs will, in turn, share with other women a way of doing business that achieves not only economic success but also creates positive social impact.”
The first class of mentees in the U.S. begin their orientation on June 27th.
