(Washington, D.C.)–MET Community US is excited to host “An Evening in Spain” with the support of the Latin American infrastructure bank CIFI on Tuesday, October 20, at Taberna del Alabardero in Washington DC. The evening will support MET’s mentorship programs for women entrepreneurs.
Guests will enjoy fine Spanish cuisine and keynote remarks by Ángel Cabrera, President of George Mason University. Augusto Lopez-Claros, World Bank Group Director of Global Indicators, will briefly discuss the World Bank’s latest edition of the prestigious Women, Business and the Law Report.
MET Community is delighted to have the generous support of the Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura, S.A. (CIFI) as the evening’s marquee sponsor.
MET Community has an established and vibrant presence in Spain and in Latin America, where it provides high-level mentoring, networking, and training for women entrepreneurs. The organization expanded to the US in the summer of 2015.
“We are excited to have launched MET Community US this year; what better way to celebrate this milestone expansion of the Community than with an evening of networking, tapas and Spanish wine at DC’s leading Spanish establishment,” said Jean Schindler, Director of MET Community US.
The event begins at 5:30p.m. Cost is $100 per person and includes the reception, dinner, and wine. Sponsorships beginning at $500 are also available. Tickets are available via eventbrite.
