Women who overcome challenges

In the framework of the month of the woman, we launched the campaign, “Women who overcome challenges”, where you will share real stories of modern women who overcome specific obstacles of each day and are able to generate opportunities.

Throughout the month of march, and through the witness of women related to the community MET, we will highlight the important role of women in society to overcome the challenges they face, breaking gender stereotypes that have stigmatized since the beginning of time and for those who have taken historical struggles to defend their rights for equality.

According to several studies referred to by the World Bank, if the women of working age to develop new businesses at the same rate as men, the overall economic gains would amount to between 5 and 6 billion USD, thus reducing the gender gap and increasing the GDP per capita in the long term in almost 20% in all countries. On the other hand, according to UN Women, the increase in the higher education of women and girls contributes approximately to an economic growth of 50%, what are patents the benefits of empowering women economically. Accordingly, to commemorate the International Women's Day, we want to contribute to make awareness about the importance of empowering women in all environments, to protect your rights and ensure that they can reach their full potential.

In MET Community we work tirelessly, along with entities that contribute to the closing of gaps, giving women and girls education to be of high value in leadership, empowerment, finance, technology, and inclusion in STEM, to their families and communities are impacted in a positive way.

In our foundation, we strongly believe that together we are more powerful, that stereotypes do not define women and that gender equality is a human rights issue and not a problem that concerns only one gender or ethnicity.
