First Ladies of Antioquia winning a Mission to Washington DC
First ladies of Antioquia selected for an agenda business in the capital of the USA.
A total of 50 women mayors, first ladies, and managing social Antioquia end the Program with success in Leadership and Communication -PLC - which started in the past month of October of the hand of the Governor of Antioquia, MET and Comfenalco Antioquia.
In the closing event, which took place this Wednesday, November 23, 2022, an appointment was made for the participants, mentors and representatives of the organizing entities, including the first lady of the department Claudia Marquez.
During the closing will be selected to win a trip to Washington D. C.
A total of seven women managers social and aspiring mayors of the municipalities of Toledo, Turbo, Itagüí, Cisneros Caracoli, Guatape, and Saint Peter of the Miracles, they have been selected to travel to the city of Washington DC in the month of the woman (march 2023). This trip to the capital of the USA, provides a unique opportunity to make contacts, seek new ideas, projects and resources for the benefit of their municipalities and regions.
Selected to travel to Washington D. C. funded entirely by the Governor and Comfenalco Antioquia, are:

- Mildrey Chavarria – Toledo
- Deisy Herrera – Itagüí
- Lina Correa Valencia – Cisneros
- Gloria Zuluaga – San Pedro de los Milagros
- Isabel García – Caracoli
- Yomaira Rosales – Guatape
The process of preparation and presentation of pitch has been possible thanks to the work of more than 15 experts, advisors, and coaches and 6 trainers international with a total commitment of more than seventy hours for train and accompany the women participating in PLC.
Encouraging in this way to 60 women leaders from Antioquia who started this program, and today have a powerful speech and powerful that they managed to strengthen after what we learned in this program and your assistance to more than 16 sessions of training, including the assessments of the individual.
Finally, it is important to emphasize that during the closing ceremony of this program the total number of participants expressed their appreciation to the first lady Claudia Marquez for his generosity, humility and commitment to the growth and development of female talent in the region of Antioquia and the organizers; the Foundation MET Community, Comfenalco Antioquia and the government of Antioquia.
